Disgiovery.com | BANDULU beach in Anyer, Banten, stretches approximately 2 km from Bandulu to Cikoneng. It’s one of the most visited attractions in this touristy area. But as I mentioned here, Anyer is not my kind of beach, except for its magnificent sunset.
During the day, people flock to Bandulu like there’s no other beaches around. It’s loud, people talk and shout in excitement, but once again it’s loud. But no rush, you can wait patiently until the dusk is coming. This is when a serenity slowly replacing a busy day. You can see sunbathers splash back from the ocean, shadows get longer as silhouette takes place, and feel a gentle sea breeze rustles through the hair. It is time for the golden ball to lighten up the horizon, and I begin setting up my camera. Catching sunset here never fails me.
Crashing against the shore, small waves wash the night’s debris onto the land. And as the sun bows down further, the slumbering heap of sea becomes a glow like melted platinum. It is an epiphany so profound that somehow you know that the sunset surely tastes like a slice of heaven.
“If I could lick the sunset, I’ll bet it would taste like Neapolitan ice cream.”
– Jarod Kintz
So, what would your sunset taste like?
